It was a pleasure to host the team from Siam Cement Group (SCG) at the Clean Energy Technologies Research Institute (CETRI) today. The SCG visiting team included chana poomee, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Nuttavut Intarode, Sustainable Development Director. CETRI’s team was represented by its director, Prof. Hussameldin Ibrahim, the Entropy Inc. Industrial Research Chair in Carbon Capture Technology, Prof. Raphael Idem, and Entropy Inc. Research Fellow in Carbon Capture, Prof. Paitoon (PT) Tontiwachwuthikul. Discussions centered around SCG’s ambitious carbon neutrality goals and how CETRI can contribute to realizing those goals through its vast knowledge and expertise in CCUS, hydrogen technologies, and energy from waste, including biomass, industrial, and municipal wastes. A special thank you to Chris Riviere, Director at the Government of Saskatchewan International Offices, for facilitating this connection. We’re excited about the potential for future collaboration and grateful for the SCG team’s engagement and interest in CETRI’s work.
