🌱 Exciting Collaboration Ahead! 🌱

By: Kathy Huang

Today, we had a productive meeting between the University of Regina (U of R) and Central Luzon State University (CLSU) to explore potential teaching and research collaborations. We discussed opportunities for student and faculty exchange programs to enable knowledge sharing and joint research initiatives focused on sustainable and low-carbon energy solutions. CETRI shared its expertise in CCUS, hydrogen technologies, and biomass conversion to value-added products, while CLSU highlighted its ongoing projects and initiatives in renewable energy technologies.

The U of R was represented by Hussameldin Ibrahim, Director of CETRI; Kathy Huang, Manager of Research Project and Development at CETRI; Andrew Doan, Commercialization Officer; Haroon Chaudhry, AVP (International); Yaya Siggins, Director of Global Outreach; and Michael Liu, Manager of International Relations and Partnerships. CLSU was represented by Wendy C. Matteo, Director of the Renewable Energy Technology Center, and Melba Denson, Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.

This meeting marks an important step toward translating the existing MOU between U of R and CLSU into tangible collaborative projects. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead!
