π Exciting Collaboration on Indigenous Clean Energy Initiatives! πΏ
Kirsten Jensen and Kevin Lysak, co-leads of an Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative led by PrairiesCan and Indigenous Services Canada, reached out to Clean Energy Technologies Research Institute. Their initiative focuses on enhancing the participation of Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan’s clean energy sector, with a strong emphasis on economic development.
Today, they had a productive virtual meeting with Dr. Irfan S. Al Anbagi, and Kathy Huang from CETRI. The discussion centered on potential collaborations between CETRI’s microgrid project and the clean energy economic development projects led by PrairiesCan and Indigenous Services Canada. π
TheCETRI team is enthusiastic about the opportunities this collaboration presents, particularly in advancing their microcredential program and exploring new microgrid pilots. The dedication to clean energy and Indigenous participation is highly commendable, and both teams are eager to work together to drive sustainable development in their communities.
A big thank you to Kirsten and Kevin for initiating this connection and for the insightful discussion today. Hereβs to a bright and sustainable future! π±
